Community Panel on Greater Inclusion for Individuals with Autism to mark Jewish Disability Awareness

Wednesday, February 28
4-6pm
FREE

In partnership with JCHAI and The Whole Community Inclusion, and One Book One Philadelphia

Join us for an engaging community panel and book discussion about Mark Haddon’s The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, the 2017 selection for One Book, One Philadelphia. In this now-classic novel, a young teenager sets out to learn who murdered his neighbor’s dog, but ends up learning more about himself and his community. This panel discussion will focus on how we can all be more welcoming and accessible to autistic people, in the classroom and in other settings.

Led by Gabrielle Kaplan-Mayer, Director of Jewish Learning Venture's "Whole Community Inclusion," and Beth Rosenwasser, Director of Community Engagement for JCHAI. Our panel will also feature autism self-advocates, including Lauren Gross, Museum Educator and Admissions Associate from NMAJH.
