Into the Storm:  Jews and World War I, 1914-1919

Although one of the great episodes of all time, much of the story of World War I is little known today and the history of Jewish involvement in the global struggle is even less familiar. In this sweeping presentation, the general course of the war and role Jews played on both sides will be highlighted.  From the founding of the Jewish Mule Corps to the Balfour Declaration to the British victory in the land of Israel, we will explore in a "day by day" fashion the remarkable epoch which ironically came to be known as the War to End All Wars

Instructors: Rabbi Lance J. Sussman Ph.D. with Joan Myerson Shrager, M.Ed.
