Alon Ben-Gurion: Reflections of my Grandfather

Thursday, May 11, 2017 at 7:30 pm
SOLD OUT

Alon Ben-Gurion, the grandson of Ben-Gurion University’s namesake and first Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion, will share amazing recollections of his childhood with his grandfather and fascinating stories about Ben-Gurion’s interactions with world leaders, as the young nation of Israel was founded and developed.

Accompanying these stories are rare, never-before-seen photos from his grandfather’s personal archives, depicting meetings with influential diplomats and politicians from the time period. This promises to be an extraordinary evening of inspirational storytelling, as guests will gain unique insight into Israel’s past from someone who experienced the founding of the nation firsthand.

Moderated by Sam Katz, Chair of the Mid-Atlantic Region of American Associates, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (AABGU). Sam previously served on the AABGU National Board and, with his wife Connie, chaired the Philadelphia Chapter.
