LAWRENCE BLOCK Writer I am not aware of any conscious or unconscious effort I make to fit in. I don't feel that fitting in is required. I feel that I am fully assimilated... I don't even have any sense of what I expect to be my legacy in any respect. I'll probably leave some books behind. I don't know if there is anything specifically Jewish about them or that anyone will care about any of the work for longer than it takes for the body to cool down.
