Letter (envelope covers some of the content):

[Darling:

I have been writing December 6th all day today.

Told my boss that I would be leaving November 27th and he wished us both all the luck we could possibly use.]

Will write to you tomorrow night, about how I made out at the gasolene [sic] rationing board. Don't know how I will get your book. If I can't get it, will try without it.

I admit that I am a little dizzy and confused. When our plans are definite, I told Sari that I will turn everything over to her. She said that she would be more than glad to do it.

Meanwhile, please tell me if there is anything that you need. I may as well buy it up here, where things are much cheaper. Someone who lived there told me that prices are exhorbitant.

When you tell me definitely when your furlough will be, that would be quite a help as it seems that we are not the only people that are going to be married this coming month. My father told me that that particular Saturday or Sunday is a beautiful weekend according to the Jewish calendar. Chanuka, etc.

Remember--if you don't want to the spend the money, I shan't be hurt. We will, God willing, make up for it when we marry off our children, with no war to confuse things.

I love you and always will love you. I believe that we have the qualifications and also the capacity--to be the ideal man and wife. I hope that we will succeed.

-over-

[The reverse reads:]

I can't think of anything nicer than having the boys at our wedding. Have you any idea as to whom you would like to have as your best man? I am having Bee and Ida as my attendants.

Every once in a while, I calm down and try to forget all the troublesome details that I must take care of, and think of you. Wish it were over, and that I was with you. I miss you and will always miss you. Even when you go to work, I will miss you until you return.

Love Clara
