The Museum is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district, on the corner of Fifth and Market Streets,
across from Independence Mall and within view of the Liberty Bell.

Tuesday to Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm*
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am - 5:30pm
* On Wednesdays between Memorial and Labor Days, we stay open until 8:00pm.
NMAJH is closed Mondays, including most federal holidays, but we are open on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day,
Presidents' Day, Independence Day, and Christmas Day.
In addition to most Mondays, we are closed on the following holidays:
Passover (first day) - April 11, 2017
Rosh HaShanah (first day) - September 21, 2017
Yom Kippur - September 30, 2017
Thanksgiving Day - November 23, 2017
New Year’s Day - January 1, 2018 (a Monday, so we're closed anyway)
The Museum also closes early (at 3:00pm) on the following holiday eves:
Erev Passover - April 10, 2017 (a Monday, so we're closed anyway)
Erev Rosh HaShanah - September 20, 2017
Erev Yom Kippur - September 29, 2017
Christmas Eve - December 24, 2017
NMAJH is open on all other Jewish holidays, except if they happen to fall on a Monday.
