The Museum is located in the heart of Philadelphia’s historic district, on the corner of Fifth and Market Streets,
across from Independence Mall and within view of the Liberty Bell.

Tuesday to Friday: 10:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday and Sunday: 10:00am - 5:30pm
NMAJH is closed Mondays, including most federal holidays, but we are open on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day,
Presidents' Day, Independence Day, and Christmas Day.
In addition to most Mondays, we are closed on the following holidays:
Rosh HaShanah (first day) - September 21, 2017
Yom Kippur - September 30, 2017
Thanksgiving Day - November 23, 2017
New Year’s Day - January 1, 2018 (a Monday, so we're closed anyway)
Passover (first day) - April 1, 2018
The Museum also closes early (at 3:00pm) on the following holiday eves:

NMAJH is open on all other Jewish holidays, except if they happen to fall on a Monday.

SPECIAL DAYS DURING 1917: HOW ONE YEAR CHANGED THE WORLD
We are offering free admission on the following significant dates related to topics or people discussed
in the exhibition:
Thursday, April 6 – America’s entry into WWI in 1917
Wednesday, April 19 – Wake Up America Day, celebrated on Patriots’ Day in 1917 to boost war recruitment
Thursday, May 11 – Irving Berlin’s birthday (his draft card is displayed in the exhibition)
Thursday, June 1 – Louis Brandeis confirmed to the Supreme Court in 1916 (his judicial robes are displayed)
Wednesday, June 14 – Liberty Bell rung on Flag Day in 1917, promoting a national effort to encourage purchase of war bonds
Wednesday, June 28 – Treaty of Versailles signed in 1919, ending WWI
In addition, we will offer free admission on the first Friday of each month, from April-July.
As always, we will also be free on Independence Day, Tuesday, July 4.
